Jon Horstmann, age 63, of Austin, MN, died Monday, November 3, 2025, at Nurturing Hands in Kellogg, MN. Jon was born September 1, 1962, in St. Petersburg, FL. Jon graduated from Austin High School and served in the US Army, where he was a tank turret mechanic. Jon was an avid outdoorsman who spent his time hunting and fishing. He was also a steadfast Vikings fan.
Survivors include his two sons, Jacob (Heather) of Becker, MN and Joshua of New Munich, MN; his two favorite grandchildren, Harper and Blaze; three brothers, Jim (Marylee) of Minnetrista, MN, Joe (Shari) of Northfield, MN, and Jeff (Tesa) of Austin, MN; four nieces and nephews, Katie, Kyle, Ethan, Evan. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Charlotte.
The family would like to thank the staff at Nurturing Hands for the wonderful care they gave Jon for seventeen years.
A celebration of life for Jon will be held from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
