Jon M. Johnson

Jon M. Johnson passed away peacefully at home in Necedah, Wisconsin, on April 1, 2025, at the age of 74.
Jon was a proud retired union roofer with Local 11, a lifelong fisherman, worked his green thumb in the greenhouse and garden, and the kind of guy who could make anyone laugh with a perfectly timed joke or harmless prank. Known for his wit and warmth, Jon brought humor and heart into every room he entered.
Music ran through his veins-he was an awesome bass player, a pretty good singer, and the soul of any jam session. Whether on a stage or in the living room, Jon's love for music was infectious.
He was deeply devoted to his Sweetiekins, Kathy Johnson, his loving wife and best friend of almost 48 years. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and lasting memories.
Jon was the kind of man who showed up-dependable, generous, and full of life. He was a loyal brother, cherished uncle, and unforgettable friend. Most of all, he was a proud father and a guiding light to many.
He is survived by his children, Brandy Johnson and Shane Johnson, and was a second dad to many, including April Butler, Bryce Stephenson, Lana Spates, and countless other neighborhood kids who found home and heart in his presence.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held on September 6, 2025. Details will be shared with family and friends soon.
Jon will be remembered always-with a rod in one hand, a bass groove in his soul, and laughter echoing around him.
