Jon Frederick Luce, Sr
Date Of Birth: 08/01/1938
Date of Death: 06/16/2025
Jon Frederick Luce Sr. passed away on June 16, 2025, surrounded by his children and grandchildren in Hillsboro, Oregon, at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Luce, and is survived by his three children, Jon Luce Jr., Elizabeth Pritchett, and Teresa Lewis; his brothers Jeff and Jim Luce; three stepchildren, Mike, Steve, and Scott Hurley; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, Jon later moved to Columbus with his mother, Betty Luce, and adoptive father, Richard Luce. After graduating from North High School, Jon joined the Air Force, where he found deep pride in his service and camaraderie among fellow Veterans. In the 1970's, Jon founded his own advertising company in the hotel-motel industry. He was a great salesman with a passion for photography and enjoyed traveling for work and connecting with customers. Jon took pride in working on things himself and shared his knowledge with those close to him. One would often find him tinkering on cars or fixing things around the house. Jon will be fondly remembered for his joyous spirit, sharp mind, and lively sense of humor, which brought smiles to those around him.
A memorial service will be held at Cornell Estates, Hillsboro, Oregon at 10:30am on August 15, 2025. Jon will be placed at Willamette National Cemetery with his wife Lori Luce.
