Jon W. Sanders

Boston - Jon W. Sanders, age 58, passed away on May 24th, 2025. He was born on November 12th 1966, son of the late Charlotte and Francis Corso. Jon graduated from UMASS Boston where he studied Biology, Psychology, and Biobehavioral studies. A brilliant mind who loved to read and research. Jon's home was filled wall to wall with books- each one carefully read and annotated. He believed that knowledge was something to be pursued not for status, but for understanding, growth, and truth. Whether diving into history, science, philosophy, or literature, he found joy in learning and was always eager to share what he discovered. Beyond his intellect, it was his role as a father that brought him the greatest pride. Jon's most treasured moments were spent taking his children bowling, as well as to plays, concerts and movies. He is the loving father of Kirsten Stein and her husband Jeff, Joshua Sanders, Valerie Cole and her wife Scarlet, Joseph Tamayo, and the late Dave Tamayo. He is the dear brother of Darrell Sanders and his wife Patti Sanders, and step son of Jim Anthony. Jon will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews, Shane, Britney, and Kyle Hicks, Grace, Brendan, Maria Sanders, Krystal Shores and his grandson Joey Tamayo. Visitation will be held from 12pm -2pm on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at Casper Funeral, 187 Dorchester Street Boston, MA. Family and friends are invited.
