Jon Seley Obituary
Jon was born July 21, 1930, in Copeland, Kansas, the son of Clifford and Elsie Nichols Seley. He graduated from Cimarron High School in 1948, lettering in football, basketball and track. In June 1948, Jon married Millie Hesler. They were high school sweethearts, and she was the love of his life. He was a terminal manager with Santa Fe Truck Line.
Jon loved travelling with his wife. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Shrine in Colorado. Jon volunteered at Stormont-Vail Heart Center from 2006 to 2025, where he accumulated thousands of volunteer hours.
Jon is survived by his children, Cliffie Wilcox, LuAnne Koester, and Joe Seley (Donna Kay); grandchildren, Russ Wilcox, Samantha Lewis, Sarah Seley and Jordan Seley; great-grandchildren, Abbey Hare and Bianca Velazquez; and great-great-grandchild, Paisley Bennett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Millie, son, John Seley, grandson, Roger Koester, and sister, Doris Hollembeak.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, 7433 SW 29th Street, Topeka KS 66614.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
