Jon Syferd Obituary
Jon Wayne Syferd, age 77, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1947 in Artesia, New Mexico, to Orlan and Velma Syferd.
Jon earned his bachelors degree from Eastern New Mexico University. He was a builder, an engineer and a teacher with a passion for learning, teaching and inspiring others.
Jon loved God, his family and his country. He was a devoted father to his sons Syrus and Brandon. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother, James Syferd; his sister Janis Syferd St.Louis; his sons, Syrus Syferd and Brandon Syferd.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orlan and Velma Syferd.
The family invites you to join them for a graveside service at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, New Mexico on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 2:30pm officiated by Pastor Monty Leavell.
