Jonathan Michael Armijo, 66, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on October 9, 2025.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 17, 2025, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jonathan was born in Clayton, New Mexico on August 21, 1959, to Angelina Marie Armijo. Demonstrating a competitive spirit from a young age, he achieved state champion status in wrestling during high school. He later pursued competition as a combat athlete and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a devoted father of three children, whom he deeply cherished, and he maintained a profound bond with his loyal dog, Shadow, who shadowed him until the end. He was a die-hard Cowboys fan through & through whether they were winning or losing.

He leaves behind his loving family and a wide circle of friends who will forever treasure his unfiltered honesty and ability to light up any room. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we take comfort in knowing he lived a full, rich life, exactly on his own terms.

He was preceded in death by his parents Angelina and Jesus Flores, Helen and Jerry Medina, Eddie Gonzales, Andy Lucero.

He is survived by his children, Angela Armijo, Brandon Armijo and fiancée Jaeline, Desaree' Armijo, Ethan Gonzales and fiancée Aubree, all of Amarillo TX. His siblings, Ricky Armijo and wife Tami of Amarillo, TX, Jesse Flores and wife Sally of Canyon, TX, Anita Flores of Amarillo, TX, and Lucy Flores of Colorado Springs, CO. His grandchildren, Analiyah Griego, Omar and Azaylia Hernandez and Josiah Bustos. Many nieces and nephews and lots of cousins and many relatives.
