In Loving Memory of Jonathan David Brand

Jonathan David Brand, 21, of Rockville Centre, left us far too soon on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Born on May 4, 2004, in Queens, NY, Jonathan was the cherished son of James W. and Nancy M. (Talento) Brand and the beloved brother of Patrick J. Brand. He was also the treasured grandson of Patricia A. Brand of East Rockaway.
Jonathan's curious mind and kind heart touched everyone who knew him. From a young age, he displayed an insatiable thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to explore the world around him. A precocious child often described as an "old soul," Jonathan loved learning, asking questions, and sharing discoveries with those he loved.
A proud graduate of South Side High School, Class of 2022, Jonathan found joy in the Debate Club and other academic pursuits that challenged his intellect. He went on to attend Penn State University, where he was pursuing a degree in Economics-a perfect reflection of his passion for understanding the forces that shape our world.
Jonathan's interests were wide-ranging and deeply felt. He taught himself computer coding, mastered guitar through countless hours of practice, and devoured books across every imaginable subject. His conversations were filled with insight, humor, and an excitement to learn and teach. Above all, Jonathan was compassionate, empathetic, respectful, and loving - a young man whose gentle nature left a lasting imprint on every heart he touched.
He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, including his aunts and uncles Joseph Talento (Janice), Stephen Talento (Jeanette), Jennifer Kobetitsch (Andrew), and Philip Talento (Dianne); his cousins Johann and Archie Kobetitsch, Pamela Sullivan (Sean), Jeanine and Joseph Talento, Samantha and Ryan Talento, Cassandra and Alana Bonilla, Michael and Kevin Talento; and many dear friends who were fortunate to share in his life.
Jonathan's memory will live on through the love he gave, the curiosity he inspired, and the countless moments of laughter and kindness he shared.
