Johnathan Francis Butler Jr.
Lorain-Jonathan Francis Butler Jr. left this world on March 3, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on May 7, 1990, in Sandusky, Ohio, Jonathan's early years were filled with the joy and laughter that would become his hallmark.
After graduating from Vermilion High School, Jonathan began to forge his path in the world. His natural talent and passion for mechanics led him to a fulfilling career as a technician with JDB Now, where he spent two years mastering his craft. Jonathan had a gift for working on anything with a motor, and had this ability to diagnose and fix even the most perplexing mechanical issues. His work was not just a job; it was a manifestation of his lifelong love for tinkering, problem-solving, and innovation.
Jonathan's zest for life was evident in everything he did. He married the love of his life, Amanda J. (nee Lynch), on July 13, 2019. His joy was multiplied with the birth of his three grandchildren, twin grandsons Atlas and Orion Altair, and granddaughter Chloe Altair, who brought him immense happiness.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen Conrad and Faith Hannah Buchs; and cousin, Jennifer Jo Luno/Butler.
He is survived by parents, Jonathan Butler Sr. and Dianne Buchs; loving wife of five years, Amanda Butler; sons, Richard Lynch Jr., Zachary (Hannah) Altair, Joseph Lynch-Gorby, and Cameron Lynch-Gorby (Butler); grandchildren, Atlas, Orion, and Chloe Altair; parents-in-law, Richard Lynch and Kristal Rose; and his cousin, Stephaniee Bohl.
Services will be held at Lakeview Baptist Church, 591 Ferndale Ave. Vermilion, OH 44089, (corner of Ferndale and Liberty/Lake) on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
