Jonathan Culberson was born to the late Mr. J.W. Culberson and Mrs. Mamie Lee Lovette Culberson on March 20,1961 in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Price High School where he was a part of the chorus and played bass drums in the marching wildcats band.
Jonathan began singing in church as a young boy where he led many of the songs in the church choir. He started singing in talent shows as a young man and performed in clubs like the San Souci and many others, Jonathan became one of the DJs at the San Souci and that's when he garnered the name "Captain Hardrock". Jonathan had the pleasure of performing all around the US and countries such as, Japan, Spain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia" Throughout his life, he never met a stranger and was loved by many. Jonathan was one Atlanta's most phenomenal vocalists and entertainers.
Jonathan departed this life on January 15, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memories, his one and only devoted daughter, Necole Culberson and a host of friends and family. His Kindness and Love will forever be missed.
