Jonathan Fournier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home - Whitehouse Chapel on Jan. 3, 2026.
Jonathan F. Fournier, 83, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at Aspen Grove in Lambertville, Michigan.
Jon was born on October 13, 1942 to Lawrence and Ruth (Wacke) Fournier.
After graduating from Anthony Wayne High School in 1960, Jon proudly served in the Air National Guard before beginning his career at Owens-Illinois, where he met the love of his life, Carol. They married in October 1965 and remained devoted to one another for 51 years before Carol went to be with the Lord.
Jon spent most of his professional life at the P.R. Sussman Company where he worked his way from estimator to vice president before retiring in the late 1990s.
A devoted Christian, husband, and father, Jon was known for his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed watching comedy shows such as The Three Stooges, Seinfeld and The Big Bang Theory, and listening to country and worship music. He loved model trains and auto racing, and later in life developed an interest in woodworking. Jon enjoyed spending time outside, always working to keep his lawn meticulous and his cars spotless.
Jon is survived by his children: Dyanna (Brian), Cory (Kim), and Wendy (Juan); his grandchildren: Nikki (Adam), Doug, Lily, Elena, JJ, and Hannah; and his great-grandchildren, Elijah and Brielle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David, sister, Laurene, and loving wife, Carol.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence St. Whitehouse, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope United Methodist Church, where Jon had been an active member for many years.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Aspen Grove and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
