Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center on Jan. 19, 2026.
Jonathan "Jon" Lee Haskins, 56, of Delaware, peacefully stepped into the presence of Jesus early Thursday morning, January 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
He was born on June 5, 1969 in Columbus, and graduated from Northland High School. On September 10, 1994, he married the love of his life, Laura Bird. Together they shared 31 years of marriage.
Internet manager for Byers Subaru in Dublin, Jon was very active with youth starting at the age of 17, especially in the camping ministry. A counselor and director for Judson Hills in Loudonville, and Koinonia Camp and Conference Center in Geneva, Ohio, his faithful dedication to the camping ministry left an eternal impact on countless lives for over 29 years. Jon also enjoyed coaching softball in the Radnor Rec League, the Rapture and Liberty Fastpitch travel softball organizations, and Delaware Christian School middle school and Varsity programs. Through his coaching career, he continued to touch lives by instilling confidence in and believing in his athletes when they didn't believe in themselves, always putting the eternal picture above the game. Above all, he loved and prioritized his family and always did everything in his power to give them the world. Being a proud Papa to Elliana and Elijah brought indescribable joy and light to his life.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Laura; daughters, Kara Lynn (Nathaniel) Ericson of St. Hedwig, Texas and Krista Marie Haskins of Delaware; grandchildren, Elliana, Elijah and One on the way of St. Hedwig, Texas; parents, Bill and Judy Haskins of Westerville; biological mom, Diane (Charlie) Boren of Pickerington; sister, Jennifer Haskins of Worthington; and in-laws, Jim and Linda Bird of LaRue.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 5 - 8 pm and on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 11:00 am - 12 noon at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware. Services celebrating Jon's life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 12 noon with Rev. Randy Brookes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery, Kilbourne.
