Mr. Hinton was a native of Mobile, AL. and was a professional landscape architect. His loves included various plants, nature, and animals. He was very creative and never minded helping others when he could.
Survivors include his sister, Sharon Murphy (John), and his niece and nephew, Zack Murphy, and Sydney Murphy.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Douglas D., and Evelyn Hinton.
His family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society or your local animal shelter in his memory.

I miss him so much! We had a stupid argument, and after, when I tried to reach him, he had already passed. I hope that he knew how sorry I was and how much I loved him.

So sorry I am just now hearing about this. I knew Jonathan very well at Auburn and considered him a close friend. He was a very genuine, kind, and funny person. I am heartbroken for your loss, and wish I had kept in touch with him.
