Jon was born on November 12, 1976 in Flint, Michigan to Dale and Linda. He graduated from Flushing High School, class of 1995. From the young age of 12 Jon was working on the family Orchard, Koan Family Orchards and even driving combine tractors. He had several other various jobs throughout his years in construction, concrete and pool building to name a few. But he always favored working on "the farm". His most recent employer was Grombir Transport Inc. for whom he drove the dairy trucks. Jon was a strong, hard working man who always kept busy. He adored his family and his rottweiler, Roxy. Jon was taken from this world far too soon and will be missed dearly by his friends and family. The family asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
He is survived by his father, Dale (Cheryl) Dowen; mother, Linda (Ken) Koan; brother, Adam Dowen; cherished nephews, Bastian, Noah and Austin and niece, Emberly; half brother, Dylan (Brianna); uncles, Mike (Debbie), Pat, Steve (Pat) and Gary (Jewel) and his aunt, Jacqui. Jon is further survived by many other family and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten.
Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd (Marion) Koan and Robert (Dorothy) Dowen and uncle, Bob.
