Jonathan Lee "Jon" Tollerton, age 51, of Evans City, was called home on the Lord's Day, July 13, 2025, after a year-long fight with cancer, while surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 29, 1973, he was the son of Clifford Ignatius and Kathleen Lee (Steinmiller) Tollerton.

Jon met the love of his life, Karen, at Seneca Valley High School-a relationship clearly guided by God's hand. Their journey continued at Waynesburg College, and in time, they married and built a Christ-centered home, raising a family grounded in faith, hope, and love. Jon was a constant and caring presence in the lives of his children, never missing a moment to support them. He proudly took on the roles of dedicated dance dad, SV band dad, and to his kids, simply "Pops". Among his greatest joys was being ever-present as a devoted husband and father, cheering his family on with quiet pride and unwavering love and support.

Jon's compassion extended to every corner of his life. Whether it was packing an overstuffed car for a family trip or fixing a leaky faucet, Jon tackled every task with steady patience and quiet strength. While helping with homework or caring for the four-legged members of the family, his gentle nature and servant's heart were always evident. He was sharp-witted and thoughtful, even if his dad jokes seemed to have no end. As an IT professional, Jon was known for his calm problem-solving and was always willing to lend a hand, offering "on-call tech support" both at work and at home.

He faithfully served his church as a deacon for many years, ministering to the needs of others with humility and grace. He also supported worship as a sound operator and was a devoted member of the men's Bible study, continually seeking to grow in God's Word and encouraging his family to do the same. From a young age, he was an avid reader, especially enjoying works of science fiction and fantasy. In his quiet moments, he could commonly be found with a book and a mug of tea. His life was a reflection of Christ's love: faithful, humble, and full of grace.

Jon leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 30 years, Karen (Pettigrew) Tollerton, whom he married on May 27, 1995; his children, Dr. Rachael McElhinny (Eric) of Harrisburg, Alyssa Greer (Cole) of York, and Zachary Tollerton of Evans City; his parents, Cliff and Kathi Tollerton of Evans City; his sisters, Becky Wollerton (Aaron) of Mars and Julie Marshall (Caleb) of Evans City; his nieces, Kate Wollerton of Mars, Corey and Shanna Pettigrew of Butler; his nephew, Josh Wollerton of Mars; and his great-niece and great-nephew Elizabeth and Roman.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M at Boylan Funeral Home, 856 Evans City Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10 A.M. at Gospel Fellowship Church, 161 McFann Rd., Valencia, PA 16059, with Rev. Dr. Matthew Everhard, officiating.

Jon will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jon's honor to the Deacon Fund at Gospel Fellowship Church by mail (161 McFann Rd., Valencia, PA 16059) or electronically at www.gospelfellowshippca.org/give.
