Jonathan Dale Keepers

Jonathan Dale Keepers, age 70, of El Reno, Oklahoma, died August 26, 2024, in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Born in Enid, Oklahoma, on January 6, 1954, to Betty Lou (Bohn) and Vernon Dale Keepers. He moved with his family, living in Midwest City, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas; Newhall, California; Amarillo, Texas; and Mustang, Oklahoma. Active in Speech and Drama, Jonathan graduated from Mustang High School in 1973.
He married JoBeth Patterson June 6, 1976 in Oklahoma City.
He and Margaret Jean Mosley were wedded on August 24, 1984, in Mustang, Oklahoma and he became father to her children Matthew, Billy and Mary. The family lived in Mustang and Union City.
On October 29, 2005, Jonathan and Joyce Jordan had a handfasting ceremony.
Jonathan performed poetry from his book, 'Buffalo Heart' during poetry open-mic nights. He had been a member of the wargaming community for fifty years, an adept gamer he was instrumental in organizing games and conventions with the Historical Miniature Gaming Society. He was a founding member of Darkmoore and The Players Guild of Central Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, his partner Joyce Jordan, parents Betty and Andy Ray Edinburgh, and Vernon and Martha Keepers, and a stillborn brother Thomas Hausenfluck, Jr.
Jonathan is survived by his children: daughter Mary Mosley-Scott and husband Maxx of Warr Acres, son Matthew Keepers and wife C'Trina of Mustang, son Billy Mosley and wife Kindal of Oklahoma City; his siblings: sister Linda Eastridge and husband Allen of Comanche, Oklahoma, sister Rebecca Keepers and husband Glenn Phillips of Yukon, Oklahoma, brother Kevin Keepers of Oklahoma City, brother Spencer Keepers of Oklahoma City; by his aunt Pat Quintanilla-Scott of Enid, Oklahoma; his grandchildren: Harris Stotts, Ethan Keepers, Caitlyn and Leah Mosley, Madigan Mosley-Scott; and by his nephews and cousins.
