Jonathan Kinard Obituary
Born May 27, 1984, in Greenwood, he was a son of Wendell E. Kinard and Katherine Lindler Kinard. Jonathan attended Emerald High School and Piedmont Technical College. He formerly worked at Stellar Jones in Whitmire and with his dad, Wendell, at Kinard's Automotive, and he also owned and operated his own painting business. He was a member of Woodfields Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Greenwood are his daughter, Leighanna Cockrell of Greenwood; stepdaughter, Lynsey Daniel of Greenwood; twin brother, Brandon Kinard of Greenwood; sister, Brittany Kinard (Johnny Mattison); granddaughter, Azelynn Cockrell; nephews, Jaiden and Kamden Mattison; aunt, Kay Kinard; and uncle, David Lindler (Nancy).
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Karleigh Kinard.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with David Lindler and Larry Scott officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Kinard, Sammy Hollingsworth, Bo Sutton, Johnny Mattison, Trent Jones, and Mike Peeler.
The family will be at the home of Jonathan's parents, and will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 1, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
