Kierra Latoni Shivers, 16, of 1401 Pheonix Street Apartments, entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Greenwood County on October 14, 2008, a daughter of Tonya Bonita Shivers and Tony Houston.

She attended Greenwood and Emerald High Schools where she was active in the chorus and was a former member of the ROTC.

She was a faithful member of Holy Spring Baptist Church and member of the Little River Missionary Baptist Association. She loved being a part of the Praise Dance Ministry at her church and with the Little River Association.

She was employed at Burger King on South Main where she always greeted everyone with a smile and her beautiful spirit.

Surviving are: her mother, Tonya Shivers; her father, Tony Houston; her maternal grandparents, Barry and Bonnie Jones; her paternal grandmother, Edith Rankin; her maternal great grandmother, Jessie Cauthen; two brothers, Kejuan Shivers and Kyree Shivers; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.

Services for Kierra will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Little River Multicultural Complex, 415 Riley Road, Hodges, SC. Kierra will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Multicultural Complex.

Public viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her grandparents, Barry and Bonnie Jones, 103 Moss Creek Drive, Greenwood, SC 29646.
