Jonathan W. Martyna, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2025.

Jon was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised in Falmouth by his parents Constance & Joseph Martyna. Jon attended Falmouth Public Schools and graduated in 1984. He received his Bachelor's Degree from New England College in 1988.

He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his dedication to family, and his jovial personality. Jonathan's legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the cherished memories he leaves behind. Jon could not walk into any establishment in town without a "Hey Buddy" in his booming voice. Jon was popular, some would say notorious.

Jon was a sport enthusiast. He proudly cheered his New England sports teams. Jon also loved his time on the water in the family boat and regular swims in the ocean.

Jon was predeceased by his father & best friend, Joe Martyna. Jon missed him every day. He is also predeceased by his mother, Connie Martyna.

Jon is survived by his sister, Wendy Martyna of Falmouth and her wife, Ann-Marie Hart. He is also survived by his niece, Romey Hart-Martyna of Falmouth with whom he shared a close relationship. She was his peanut. He leaves behind too many friends to mention. He loved all his friends and family.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 19th from 10 - 11 a.m. at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA with a Funeral Service taking place at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
