JONATHAN LEE MOCH

We were blessed with the birth of our son, Jon on March 4, 1981 and were at his side when he parted on November 3, 2021 from organ failure.

Jon lived most of his life in Oregon where he loved to spend time at the coast and the mountains. His love for nature and the serenity that ensued was priceless. Jon graduated with his Bachelors Degree in History from Western Oregon University and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Warner Pacific University. Jon was very intelligent and was held in high esteem by his colleagues at Studio EL where he met many he considered his friends. Jon's humble nature to help educate others was felt by many.

Jon had a great love for family, especially his cousin, Holly and his niece, Melody. He had a kind and generous heart and a quiet demeanor when thinking of others. He was our champion, a protector and a good soul. Jon left behind his father Larry, mother Jan, brother Ryan, sister-in-law Cheryl, niece Melody, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Faith has given us the comfort to know he is with the Lord and at peace. Knowing we will be together again is what sustains us throughout these painful days now and in the future. The nurses and staff at the Salem Hospital in the ICU fifth floor unit are true angels. Their tremendous efforts to save Jon shows their compassion and determination to give comfort to those in their care. The staff at OHSU ICU also did everything possible to save Jon and for that we are grateful.

A service of remembrance will be held November 20, 2021 at Court Street Christian Church in Salem, Oregon at 1:00 pm.

Masks must be worn as Jon would have wanted each of you to care and protect each other. He was a firm proponent of vaccines, masks and any other way to protect others from a preventable disease.

Please consider donating in Jon's name, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Red Cross, or a charity of your choice. Every day the importance of donating blood is even greater. Please also consider donating blood, knowing someone close to you may need blood at any given time.
