Jon was standing at the entrance of Durfee Hall after my dad sped away from dropping me off for my Freshman Year at Hope College so he was the First Person I actually Met at Hope. He immediately hurried down the steps to grab some of my luggage, helped me find my room - right across from Him and Jeffrey B. Wynsma on the 2nd Floor, our friendship grew stronger and stronger the older we became, and he will remain as one of my closest, dearest, and most trusted Best Friends I have ever had in my life. Almost Every Day I Think Of Him. We were Roommates in Traverse City in the late 1990's, then he headed for Minneapolis in a UHAUL to take a job in the Airfreight Business, and I took the attached photo of Jon when he stopped by my Office to see me on his way out of town. Rest In Peace CUTS. Adam Begley

Was so shocked to hear this news. Jonathon was probably my first best friend since we lived right next to each other. Favorite memory: baked potatoes and apples in the largest non fire in his backyard! So sorry for the families loss.
