March 2, 1943 – January 7, 2024
Jonna Sue Ferguson, 80 of McComb, Mississippi passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her residence. She was born Tuesday, March 2, 1943 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow at Holmesville Cemetery in McComb, Mississippi. Bro. Danny Smith will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Sue was a member of the Church on Beulah. She served as an RN for 38 years helping those who were in need. Ms. Sue enjoyed tending to her flowers, reading her bible, going to church, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter N. Ferguson; father John V. Grimsley; mother Nettie Lee Simmons Grimsley; grandson William J. Ferguson; and great grandson Liam Cagle.
Survivors include her sons Pete Ferguson (Mandy) and Jeremy Ferguson (Charity); brother Eddie Grimsley (Connie); grandson Levi Sterling; granddaughters Magan Duarte (Raffy), Emma Ferguson and Jordan Etheridge (Josh); great grandsons Braxton Cagle, John Dale Etheridge and Ashton Etheridge; great granddaughter Emma Duarte; nephew James Thomas Grimsley; nieces Kelli Brown (Jeremy) and Kim Mills (Stephen); along with a host of great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Dickerson, Tom Weber, Jeff Coon, Matt Simpson, James Thomas Grimsley, and Eddie Grimsley.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Compassus Hospice for the loving care that they administered to their "Fergie Ferg". Special thanks also to Ms. Teresa Brumfield who served selflessly as Ms. Sue;s kind and loving caregiver.
