Jorge A. Carbonell

Jorge Carbonell, 64, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on November 5, 2025. Born in Havana, Cuba, Jorge made his home in Virginia Beach, after living in New York City for over 40 years.

Jorge is survived by his beloved wife, Adriana, and his children, Chris and George from his first marriage, and Bridget, Michelle, and Rochelle, whom he shared with Adriana. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: James, Amberlys, Johnny, Delaney, Delano Jr., Liam, and Greyson, who brought immense joy to his life.

Jorge retired as a Paramedic with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He devoted his career to helping others and took great pride in his role serving his community. His bravery, compassion, and commitment to others left a lasting impact on those he worked with and cared for.

As a sports enthusiast, Jorge was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and New York Rangers. Whether cheering for his teams or spending time with family, Jorge's humorous spirit touched everyone who knew him.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
