Jorge Gonzalez

Jorge Gonzalez passed away Dec 4, 2021 after an illness. Born December 31, 1971 to Pedro and Irma Gonzalez, he had been a resident of the Painesville area. He enjoyed sports, Mexican oldies and classic rock music and martial arts. Jorge was the best cook and loved to cook for and feed his family. While taking a break from his work in the landscaping trade, he enjoyed eating his favorite snack, watermelon. Anyone that new him could tell he was a special man that had a wisdom about him that was comforting. He was hilarious and enjoyed getting laughs out of people anywhere he went. His passion was his family and his wife; but his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Survivors include his wife Nelida Castaneda; children Bryan Gonzalez, Marcos Castaneda, Kimberly Gonzalez and Amy Gonzalez; grandchildren Ilse Castaneda, Roman Castaneda, Matteo Castaneda, Camillo Castaneda, Isabella Hemminger and Giorgiana Gonzalez; siblings Juan Gonzalez, Yolanda Gonzalez, Claudia Gonzalez, Alejandro Gonzalez, Mauricio Gonzalez, Rogelio Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez and Javier Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his brothers Luis and Perrico Gonzalez. A memorial gathering will be from noon until 2 pm on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022 at the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes, 1009 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH. A memorial service will follow at 2pm at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place.
