Jorge Garcia Gonzalez, of Lubbock, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, he was 58 years old. Jorge was born to Apolinar Garcia and Maria Gonzalez on October 12, 1965, in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Jorge was a skilled laborer, that worked hard in nearly any aspect of construction. Jorge was especially known for being among the best at laying tiles. In his free time, Jorge could be found watching the news, listening to music, dancing, or even singing karaoke! Jorge had a great sense of humor and liked to pick up lottery tickets for a chance to win. The most important part of his life was his family. Jorge spent 30 years with the love of his life, Erma, and loved to spend time with his two grandchildren.
Jorge is preceded in death by his brother, Miguel Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Erma Avila; parents, Apolinar Garcia and Maria Gonzalez; children, Maria Garcia, George Garcia, and Reyna Garcia; grandchildren, Emiliano Garcia, and Selena Vidales; sisters, Lourdes, Leonor, Alicia, Fabiola, Veronica, and Teresa Garcia Gonzalez; and brother, Luis Rene Garcia.
The family invites extended family and friends to join them for a time of visitation on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Venue on Broadway, next to Combest Family Funeral Homes in Lubbock. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM following the visitation. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Venue on Broadway in Lubbock. Following the funeral service, Jorge will be laid to rest at the Plainview Cemetery, in Plainview, Texas.
