Baby boy Jose Luis Apodaca, at the young age of 2, unexpectedly and tragically lost his life. He was born in Wake Co. to Jose Perez-Apodaca & Clarissa Knight. The birth of their baby boy filled their lives with unspeakable joy. The sounds of his laughter still echo in their hearts with every beat. With every thought of him, there would be nothing but smiles and hearts filled with overwhelming joy. No words could ever truly express how much Baby Jose will be missed. He will be loved beyond measure and forever loved unconditionally. Baby Jose is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Brenda Tucker, great grandfather Felix Tucker and uncles, Martin Apodaca-Sandoval, and Cameron Thornton.
Baby Jose is survived by his parents, Jose Apodaca and Clarissa Knight, grandparents Kimberley and Billy Knight, his grandmother Nuria Apodaca Luna and his grandfather Jose Luis Perez. His great grandparents Felicitas Luna-Osuna and Noe Jaime Apodaca, His aunts, Brittany Murray, Kaylee Walker, Phyllis McMillian and Kimberly Knight. His Uncles, Leonardo Perez-Apodaca, Jason Murray, Alex Walker, Emmanuel McMillan, John Knight, Darrin Knight, and Christian Thornton. His cousins, Logan, Fisher, and Owen Murray, Lyla Walker, Augustus McMillan, Cayden and Kaydee Knight.

We wish there were words to explain the sorrow we feel in a time like this. You were the light of our lives. Never did we think we would face something like this. We pray and know that you are happy. That you are playing baseball, swimming, and have Mickey Mouse baseball on repeat.
We are so grateful for having the honor of being your parents and being chosen to walk this life with you. The time we have spent together will be forever cherished. We will feel you at every milestone in our lives, at every baseball game or family event.

A visitation will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3rd at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory.
A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 5th at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 608 Lions Club Rd., Wendell, NC 27591. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Garden, 809 W. Gannon Ave, Zebulon NC 27597.
