We gather here to celebrate the vibrant life of Jose Alberto Bayron Cruz, an ambitious and adventurous soul, known to many as Stone, who was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on December 30, 1969. Jose had a spirit that was as generous as it was smart. In his 54 years, he embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of all those privileged to have known him. His life was a testament to the words of Mark Twain, "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."
Jose was a one-of-a-kind man who resided in Somerville, Massachusetts, but throughout his life, he lived in several places, including Springfield, Chicopee, and various parts of Boston. Despite never officially being employed, he was a skilled carpenter and a certified gym trainer. Jose was a man of many talents; he taught himself to play the drums and had a knack for painting. He was ambitious, always eager to learn and improve his skills. However, above all else, Jose was a loving father to his children and a devoted family man. His children and family were his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Jose had a beautiful heart, and his generosity knew no bounds. His adventurous spirit shone through in everything he did, whether it was exploring a new city or embarking on a new hobby. He was a beacon of positivity, and his zest for life was infectious. He was a brave explorer of life, an unending source of inspiration, a beacon of positivity, and a true friend. His life may have been cut short, but his legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Jose is survived by his sisters, Rosa Cruz and Aida Bayron, and his children, Jelsie Bayron, Luis Bayron, Jamie Hill, and Johnathan Bayron. He will forever be missed by his kids and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanfe Bayron and Rosa Cruz, and his brother, George Bayron.
A viewing for Jose Alberto Bayron Cruz will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at North End Chapel, 130 Carew Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01104.
