Jose Cordeiro Obituary
He was the loving husband of Julieta Carvalho.
Born in Feteiras, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Cordeiro and Maria de Almeida.
Prior to retiring, Jose worked in the construction industry, mostly as a carpenter, for the majority of his career. In his free time, Jose was very artistic and loved to write music and sing. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. He was a true renaissance man, who could do a little bit of everything.
Along with his wife, Jose is survived by his children: Nemesio (Sofia) Cordeiro, Nelio (Pamela) Cordeiro, Helio (Tiffany) Cordeiro, Delia (Helder) Barroso, Sergio (Brittany) Cordeiro, Debora Melo (Randy), Celia Cordeiro (Ronnie); his siblings: Carlos Cordeiro, Joao Cordeiro, Lucia Cabral, Filomena Soares, and Miguel Cordeiro; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening, May 15, 2024 from 5 – 8 PM.
