Jose "Jr/Jun" Del Prado was born in Manila, Philippines on October 28, 1956, the first child of Jose "Pip" & Leonora Del Prado. He passed away in Escondido, CA on June 8, 2023 in his home. He is survived by his children Mark, Trisha, Nuelle, and Jose "Pipo", sons-in-law Essex and Chris, and grandkids Zeke, Jj, Logan, and Aemilia "Millie". He also leaves behind siblings Liza and Danny along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Jose worked 17 years as a route guide analyst for Philippine Airlines which allowed him to travel to many different countries, but more importantly served as a means for him and his family to eventually migrate to the US. Whether in the Philippines or the States, Jose was always faithful in his church ministry, serving the Lord with his home churches, Unida, Alliance Fellowship Church, and Maranatha Chapel. He fervently studied the Scriptures and enjoyed being a part of Bible study groups, ministry outreaches and church events. Even outside the church ministry, he always shared his faith with friends and strangers alike, always carrying religious tracts and sharing the Word of God to anyone who would listen.
Jose loved God and his family, especially his grandkids. He also loved riding his motorcycle, playing darts and shooting pool with Pipo, spending time with the grandkids and learning how to cook different cuisines. But most of all, he loved his wife, Mimi, who preceded him in death in 2021. We are comforted by the thought of them reuniting in Heaven, in the presence of Jesus Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith.
