Jose "Wichi" Delgado-Cruz, Sr., age 53, of Erie, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Mirta Cruz-Sanchez and Juan Delgado-Garcia.

Jose was athletic, skillful and knowledgeable. He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time and playing softball. Jose was caring and loving and was a hero to his children and grandchildren.

Jose is survived by his wife, Sonya Latorre; children, Joey Delgado (Maddie), Edwin Delgado (Meagan), Jessica Delgado and Angel Delgado (Alexis); one brother, Juan Delgado; sister, Myrta Delgado; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Rosa Sanchez and Julia Garcia

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Services, Inc., 536 West 10th Street, on Sunday, September 7th, from 2 to 6 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday, September 8th, at 11 am conducted by Pastor Miguel Perez. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Jose's family through the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
