Jose L. Diaz, 65, of Caldwell, NJ, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 9, 2025.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 4-8 pm in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068, shookfarmer.com. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell, NJ 07006 with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
Born and raised in Newark, he lived in Staten Island, NY, and settled in Caldwell in 2006. He began his career in the pizza industry and later he worked as a truck driver for Fresh Pro Distributors in West Caldwell. He was an outstanding bowler, competing in many tournaments. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and watching movies. To relax, he loved to sit with a glass of scotch and a cigar, watching his teams, The Mets, Jets, or Knicks. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandson.
Pre-deceased by his father, Jose T. Diaz, his brother, Roberto Diaz, and his brother-in-law, Alcino Dias.
Surviving is his beloved best friend and partner, affectionately known as "My Love," Lori; devoted mother, Aurea Diaz (nee Jimenez); beloved son, Daniel J. Diaz and his wife Francesca, Samantha Edwards and her husband Keith, and Lucas Diaz and their mother, Angela Diaz; cherished grandson, Gianfranco; loving siblings, Cindy Dias, Javier Diaz, and Jorge Diaz and his wife Tracy.
