Jose was born in Bonao, Dominican Republic the son of Federico and Altagracia (Pina) Genao. Jose had faith in God and Jesus. He enjoyed food, especially coffee; he liked riding bicycles, and loved music and spending time with family and friends. Jose was always joyful and like making others happy. Jose loved life and really did live one day at a time.
Jose is survived by his wife of 58 years Ondina (Rosario) Genao of Haverhill, his children Jose Genao, Iraida Genao, Jaime Genao and Juan Carlos Genao. He also leaves behind his two sisters Rina Genao and Mirtha Genao, his three daughters in law: Eury Genao, Elizabeth Genao, and Susy Genao; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Crispulo Genao, Federico Genao and Joaquin Genao and his sisters Dominicana Genao, Delba Genao, and Luisa Genao.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 28 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM followed by a funeral chapel service at 12:15PM at the Linwood Cemetery Chapel, 41 John Ward Ave, Haverhill. Burial to follow in Linwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. Haverhill.
