Raul Montanez Obituary

Raul was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to Eleuterio and Gloria (Martinez) Montanez. He worked as an assembler for Lucent Technologies in North Andover until his retirement. Raul loved music, movies, antique cars, sports, traveling, fishing and his dog Grizzly. He had an excellent sense humor and enjoyed being around his family members more than anything.
Raul is survived by his loving wife Nidia (Espinal) Montanez of Lawrence, son Jose Montanez and stepsons Daniel & Moyses Gabin of Hollywood, FL; daughter Chantel Montanez of Haverhill and stepdaughter Libny Mateo of Long Island, NY. He also leaves behind his brother Fernando Vasquez of Haverhill and sisters Evelyn Montanez of NJ, Maribel Montanez of Puerto Rico, and Magdalena Montanez, Carmen L. Montanez, Maritza Montanez, Ruth Vasquez, and Nora Vasquez all of Haverhill; and grandchildren: Leilani, Liliana, Safiro, Querube, Samuel, Joshua, Delilah, Nathanael and Benjamin. Raul was predeceased by his son Leonardo Montanez, daughter Marisol Montanez, brother Carmelo Montanez and sister Asuncion Montanez.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 13 from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral home chapel service will be held on Friday, June 14 at 11AM. Burial to follow at St James Cemetery, 360 Primrose Street, Haverhill.
