DERRY, NH – Thomas W. Clausnitzer, 64, passed away on Friday, May 31 surrounded by family, after a long battle with diabetes in Portsmouth, NH.
Tom was born in Haverhill, the son of Walter A. and Evelyn T. (Wholley) Clausnitzer, he was the youngest of their three children. Thomas was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1979. He was a long term employee (20+ years) of Lucent Technologies, performing duties as a test station operator. Tom enjoyed music and Sci Fi movies; he especially loved playing, collecting and repairing and building guitars, a life-long hobby.
Tom is survived by his sisters Mary Arsenault and her partner Dennis Orzechowski of Candia NH, Elaine Duke and her husband Larry of Atkinson, NH, nieces and nephews Ronni Summerton, Brad Arsenault, Mark Arsenault, Brandon Duke and Kimberly Duke, great-niece and nephews Sarah, Brent and Liam.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 9 from 2PM until 4PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 10 at 10AM at St. James Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 395 N. Broadway, Haverhill. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Joslin Diabetes Center, Inc.
