Jose loved the outdoors, which was the biggest reason for his settlement in Colorado. He enjoyed the mountains and the fresh air. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephew and was like a second father to all of them. He was a kind person who loved to help people. He was proud of his culture and where he came from.
He is survived by his mother, Julia; brothers, Emilio and Polo Hernandez, nieces, Viridiana Hernandez and Claudia Sosa; nephew, Gilbert Hernandez and a large extended family and friends. He will be truly missed by all that knew him and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Josefin.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm, Friday, August 23, followed by reciting of the rosary at First Church of the Nazarene in Greeley, Colorado. Christian Mass will be held at 10 am, Saturday, August 24th at Our Lady Of Peace in Greeley, Colorado.
