Funeral services for Jose Marcos Jasso, 65, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Emanuel Assembly of God Church in Lufkin with Rev. Sonia Bermudez officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin.
Mr. Jasso was born on October 15, 1958, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, to the late Jesus Jasso and Manuela (Montes) De Jasso and died Monday, November 6, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Jasso was a member of Emanuel Assembly of God Church in Lufkin. He loved his family very much and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Jasso enjoyed grilling, gardening, and taking pictures. Mr. Jasso liked going to the casino and watching the president of Mexico speak daily on TV.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Titta Jasso of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Marcos and Lili Jasso of Diboll; son, Joel Jasso of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Ricardo and Yesenia Perez of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Rogelio and Cynthia Perez of Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Roxana and Moises Hernandez of Mexico; granddaughter, Mireya Perez of Lufkin; grandson, Jose Ricardo Perez of Lufkin; granddaughter, Lesly Perez of Lufkin; grandson, Julio Perez of Lufkin; granddaughter, Alyssa Jasso of Lufkin; granddaughter, Hailey Jasso of Diboll; grandson, Erik Jasso of Lufkin; grandson, Raul Perez; sister, Guadalupe Jasso of Mexico; brother, Roman Jasso of Mexico; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that reside in Mexico.
Mr. Jasso was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jose Marcos Jasso, Jr.; brothers, Viviano Jasso and Cesario Jasso; and sisters, Magdalena Jasso and Virginia Jasso.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Shafer Funeral Home.
