Jose Labate Obituary

Born on November 18, 1935 in Reggio Calabria, Italy; he was the son of the late Antonino and Catalina (Marascia) Labate.
He and his late wife immigrated to Argentina before bringing their young family to the United States in 1978. After settling in Newton, he established his own landscaping business in 1984 which he operated until his retirement.
Mr. Labate enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
Jose was the beloved husband of the late Josefina (Bilotta) Labate who passed in 2020. He is survived by his loving children Antonio "Ruben" Labate and his wife Cheryl of Natick; Andres Labate and his wife Sonia of Newton; her cherished grandchildren Candice and her husband Keith of Virginia, Marissa and her husband Daniel of Ashland, Ana Belen, and Adrianna; his adoring great grandchildren Liliana, Beatrice, Margaret, Amelia and Fred; and his dear sister Paulina Labate of Argentina; in addition he is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family in Italy, Argentina, and Canada.
Family & Friends are welcome to gather for a Graveside Funeral Service in celebration of Jose's life at
Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham, on THURSDAY morning NOVEMBER 14th at 11:00AM.
