Jose R. Martinez

Jose Ramiro Martinez, age 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2025 at HCA Clear Lake Hospital.  He was born on February  15, 1937 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Jose is survived by his children, Jose Ramiro Martinez Jr., Jainey  Toro, Rogelio Martinez, 4 grandchildren (Trey) Jose R Martinez III, Clarissa, Giselle Ruiz, Sonia Celeste Martinez, Jared Michael Toro, and 2 great grandchildren Ezra Sol Martin and Natalia Eden Ruiz. He was preceded in death by wife of 47 years, Ester Herrera Martinez.He lived as a God fearing man devoted to his family and to living with integrity. Known for his strong work ethic, he faithfully provided for his wife and children and chose a path of righteousness over compromise, even when faced with temptation. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, perseverance, and love for his family.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Compean Funeral Home, 2012 Broadway St., Houston, TX 77012, with Cremation to follow.
