Jose Samuel Martinez

Sammy graduated from Morton High School in May of 1995. He then attended South Plains College and received a degree in Automotive Service Technology. Sammy worked in the automotive industry for 28 years and achieved many goals. He truly enjoyed his profession.

Sammy enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. He loved music and playing his imaginary air bajo sexto. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Sammy loved to go to the lake and make memories with his family.

Sammy had a servant and very giving heart. He would help anyone in their time of need and never ask for anything in return. He had the kindest spirit and such a blessing to have around. He was an amazing son, brother, but most importantly a father and grandfather.

His granddaughters were everything to him.

Sammy is preceded in death by his father Jose Martinez, his brother Joel Martinez, and brother-in-law Shean Abston. Sammy is survived by his son Camren Flores of Columbus, Ohio, his daughter Alexx Rodriguez and her husband Marcelo of Morton, Texas. Granddaughters, Adalyse and MaKenna Rodriguez. His Mother Blasa Martinez and her husband Jose Juan Osoria of Morton, Texas. His three sisters, Luisa Abston of Morton, Texas. Ely Chavez and her husband Jaime of El Paso, and Angelica Martinez of Morton, Texas. His younger brother, Isai Martinez, and his wife Cindy of Levelland, Texas. Sammy was a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
