Jose Julian Mora Giraldo

José Julián Mora Giraldo, beloved son, grandson, spouse, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, was born on May 30, 1980, in Cali, Colombia, and lived there until age 9.
He lived his formative years in Mount Vernon, New York, with his family, where he graduated from high school. He attended Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
José Julián lived a beautiful life full of laughter and light. He fulfilled his dream of building a joyful and loving home in Norwalk with his wife Yasmin, and they lived happily with their girls Angelina and Adriana Rose, their son Julián Angel- who will be born in May, and Yasmin's mom Doña Maria.
José Julián took great pride in serving, and he loved wholeheartedly. His easy disposition and smile always brought out the best in everyone who met him, whether meeting him in passing or in his lifetime.
For nearly 20 years, José Julián worked at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, including the NYPD Cardiac Program, and most notably in the 9/11 World Trade Center Health Program, where he held multiple positions, including his last as a reimbursement analyst.
Today and from this day forward, his loving family and army of friends will honor his legacy and remember his love for all people, nature, music, the mountains, and the sea. But most of all, his devotion and unconditional love for his family and friends.
May his gift of life and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind shine like the bright sun and bring peace to his loved ones until they meet again.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 19th from 3pm-8pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, February 20th at St. Mary's Parish, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place, Stamford, CT.
