Jose Eladio Navarrete, age 83, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, in Lubbock. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral service will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00am, officiated by Reverend Noe De los Santos. Interment will follow after funeral service. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.

Jose was born in Emiliano Zapata, Durango on June 10, 1942, to Jesus Maria Navarrete and Maria de Jesus Guerrero-Navarrete. Jose married Diane De los Santos on March 8, 1998, in McKinney, Texas.

Jose dedicated more than a decade of his life to working in a gin. After his years at the gin, he continued his hard work as a farm hand. He enjoyed riding horses and taking care of the farm and its animals. Jose was a good man who loved and provided for all his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jose Guadalupe Navarrete; grandson, Jose Angel Navarrete; parents, Jesus, and Maria de Jesus Navarrete; one brother, Jose Angel Navarrete; and three sisters, Lorenza, Elvira, and Soledad Navarrete.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane Navarrete; his children: Maria de Jesus Navarrete , Jose Santiago Navarrete, Andres Gilberto Navarrete, Jesus Maria Navarrete, Hilaro Navarrete, Rosalba Navarrete, Jose Guadalupe Navarrete, Jose Luis Navarrete, Elisa Navarrete, Audrey Ranjel, Angie Navarrete (Santiago Garcia), Juan Manuel Navarrete (Adriana), and Jose Miguel Navarrete; and thirty-nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Jose Eladio Navarrete, de 83 años, falleció el lunes 12 de enero de 2026 en Lubbock. La visita y el servicio funerario se celebrarán en la Capilla Conmemorativa Lemons. La visita se celebrará el viernes 16 de enero de 2026, de 4:00pm a 8:00pm. El funeral será el sábado 17 de enero de 2026 a las 10:00 de la mañana. El entierro tendrá lugar después del servicio funerario. Los arreglos funerarios están a cargo de Lemons Funeral Home en Plainview.

José nació en Emiliano Zapata, Durango, el 10 de junio de 1942, hijo de Jesús María Navarrete y María de Jesús Guerrero-Navarrete. José se casó con Diane De los Santos el 8 de marzo de 1998 en McKinney, Texas.

José dedicó más de una década de su vida a trabajar en una desmotadora. Tras sus años en la desmotadora, continuó trabajando duro como jornalero agrícola. Disfrutaba montando a caballo y cuidando de la granja y de los animales. José era un buen hombre que amaba y proveía para todos sus hijos y nietos.

Le precede en la muerte su hijo, José Guadalupe Navarrete; su nieto, José Ángel Navarrete; sus padres, Jesús y María de Jesús Navarrete; un hermano, José Ángel Navarrete; y tres hermanas, Lorenza, Elvira y Soledad Navarrete.

Quienes quedan para atesorar su memoria son su esposa, Diane Navarrete; sus hijos: María de Jesús Navarrete, José Santiago Navarrete, Andrés Gilberto Navarrete, Jesús María Navarrete, Hilaro Navarrete, Rosalba Navarrete, José Guadalupe Navarrete, José Luis Navarrete, Elisa Navarrete, Audrey Ranjel, Angie Navarrete (Santiago García), Juan Manuel Navarrete (Adriana) y José Miguel Navarrete; y treinta y nueve nietos y muchos bisnietos.
