He enjoyed playing video games and soccer, gardening and cooking.
Jose was a joyful helper to those in need, especially children. He had a gift for being a good listener and took great joy in uplifting others.
Surviving are his parents of Newman, CA; his brother Guillermo Torres of Newman, CA and his significant other Hope Lyon with whom he made his home.
No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
