Jose Guadalupe Zapata, a bright light in the lives of many, was born on December 10, 2005, in Grapevine, Texas. He left this world far too soon on September 9, 2025, in Kemp, Texas, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love and laughter.

Jose had an infectious spirit that radiated kindness. He was tender and loving, always making time for family and friends. Those who were fortunate enough to be in his presence will remember him not just for his warm heart, but also for his remarkable sense of humor. His laughter had a way of brightening the darkest days and bringing joy to every gathering.

He loved spending time with his family, sharing moments that would be treasured forever. Jose had a variety of interests that showcased his vibrant personality. He found great pleasure in cutting hair, a skill that allowed him to express his creativity and connect with others. He also had a passion for working on cars, finding both challenge and satisfaction in the mechanical world. Equally, his adventurous spirit led him to the open fields, where he enjoyed riding horses, experiencing the freedom and beauty of nature.

Jose is survived by his devoted parents, Fernando Zapata and Margarita Flores. He was a beloved brother to his sisters: Leslie Beltran, Daisy Zapata (spouse – Oscar Sanchez), Jennifer Zapata (spouse – Victor Sanchez), Wendy Zapata, Maria Flores, Jocelyn Flores, and Lisette Zapata; and his brothers, Victor Zapata and Edgar Guerrero. His family reflects the love he brought into their lives every day. In addition, several nieces, nephews, and cousins hold him close in their hearts, reminding us all of the significant impact he had on everyone around him.

He is proceeded in death by his paternal grandmother, Juana Marie Martinez, and maternal grandparents, Irene Avila and Julio Soto.

As we remember Jose, let us celebrate the tender moments shared, the smiles exchanged, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Though his time with us was brief, the love he shared will resonate through the lives he touched. He is deeply missed and will forever be remembered.
