Our Beloved Mother and wife went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 79. Josefina was born on January 9, 1944, to Jose and Delores Morales in Sierra Blanca, TX. She married the love of her life Hector Ramirez in Sierra Blanca Texas on January 29th, 1963, in which they were blessed with 60 years together.
Josefina worked for the Lubbock Independent School District for over 25 years and retired as an attendance clerk. She loved to be with family and loved to go shopping. The times that she cherished the most were the birth of her grandchildren followed by her great- grandchildren that she spoiled rotten.
Josefina is survived by her husband, Hector Ramirez; daughter, Melissa Benitez; her grandchildren, Marc, Annelise & Victoria Benitez, (Lubbock Tx); her great grandchildren, Addilynn Rae and Caleb Marc Benitez (Lubbock Tx). Her sisters, Elisa Salgado & Lucy Esparza (Monahan’s Tx) Mary Cave (Abilene Tx) and brothers, Jose Morales (Monahan’s Tx), Manuel Morales & Carlos Morales (Sierra Blanca Tx) and Chuy Morales (Gallop, NM). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Josefina is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Delores Morales, brother, Socorro Morales & sister, Andrea Ramirez.
A visitation for Josefina has been scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary following from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Combest Family Funeral Homes Venue on Broadway. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 102 N. Ave P, Lubbock Tx.
