Joseline A. Ronesi

Joseline Anne St. Germain Ronesi, 84, died Friday, April 26, 2024, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany, NY.
She was daughter of the late Armand St. Germain and Marie Deschenes St. Germain. Born in Somerset, MA, Joseline moved to Averill Park, NY as a child, and was a 1958 graduate of Averill Park High School. A Waterford, NY resident since her marriage in 1962, she was the loving wife of John Ronesi for 61 years and a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. She was the devoted mother of Lynne Ronesi and John Ronesi (Karen), proud grandmother of Jake Ronesi (Kathleen), Max Ronesi, and Leela Chatterji, and delighted great-grandmother of Charlotte Ronesi. She was sister to Michael St. Germain (Gail) and Robert St Germain (late Mary Lou), and was predeceased by four brothers - Armand, Paul, John, and Peter.
Joseline was a talented seamstress and quilter, a gifted crafter, and a member and treasurer of the Waterford Home Bureau for several years. A book lover and educator, Joseline was the children's librarian at Waterford Public library from 1975 to 2000 where she not only nurtured Waterford children's love of reading but engaged them in arts and crafts programs. During her short time at Daughters of Sarah, Joseline was an active participant in their book club and contributed her copy of Charlie Mackesy's "The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse" for last week's reading.
Funeral Wednesday at 10 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
