Joseph M. Adams passed away at The Waters of Middletown on the 9th of August, 2025. Born in Harrisonville, Missouri, in 1951, he graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1973 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and received a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman in 1978 after returning on a General Motors fellowship. 

After working for General Motors and Delco Remy for 25 years, and as President and CEO of CPX, Inc., in North Vernon, Indiana, he founded Strategic Quality a Business Consulting Organization in 2000. 

Joe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Adam Elrod, and grandsons Ezra Messick, Zane Messick, and Talan Elrod. He is also survived by a sister and her family, Joan, Don, Donald and Brian Crockett; sister-in-law Nancy Sandefur; sister-in-law Melanie (Alan) Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Vivianne; and his parents, Joe Edgar and Mary Catherine Adams. 

Joe wanted no funeral services and will be cremated according to his final wishes, stating “"Dust to dust, ashes to ashes." I will be with The Lord Christ Jesus within a twinkling of the eye after he calls for me to be with Him and my fellow Believers.”
