On July 3, 1982 he married his wife Marietta.
Joseph worked as a Foreman for Metro North for 32 years, retiring in 2010. He loved going to car shows and was also interested in motorcycles and carpentry.
Besides his wife Marietta of White Plains, he is survived by his daughter Caterina Amedeo. Also surviving is his sister Concetta Marchese of Messina, Italy, brother Frank (Maria) Amedeo of White Plains, his Sister-in-Law Betty Amedeo of Chappaqua, his devoted Brother-in-Law and caregiver Joseph Chillemi of White Plains, his Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Dominic and Maria Chillemi of Queens, NY, and his many nieces and nephews. Joseph is predeceased by his brother Thomas Amedeo and Brother-in-Law Joseph Marchese.
