Joseph Bartley a native of Marrero, Louisiana and resident of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 58.
Joseph leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, his wife Linda Bartley, his mother Carol A. Bartley, his children Misty Smith (Justin), Micheal Bartley (Heather), Megan Ricks (Cory), his grandchildren; Cayden Smith, Thomas Smith, Kailya Vinet, Kaydince Lambert, Keegan Bartlett, Isabella Ricks and Cooper Ricks. He also leaves behind his siblings George H. Bartley III (Leslie), Pam Mentel (Ronnie), Laurie Bartley, Patty Bartley and Connie Bartley.
Joseph is preceded in death by his father George H. Bartley Jr. and his sister Georgette Bartley.
He was an active member of JFK Martial Arts, past Scout Master of Boy Scouts of America as well as a member of Holy Catholic Church of Franklinton, Louisiana.
Joseph was the best Pappy, husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, outdoor cooking, listening to music, taking and teaching martial arts. He touched so many lives through his selfless dedication to help others.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service officiated by Father Pedro, on Monday September 30, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in the Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery.

The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
