Joseph Donald Bisson

Joseph (Donald) Bisson, 80, of Chesterfield Michigan went home to the Lord on November 22, 2025. For 41 beautiful years, he was the devoted husband of Doreen and together, they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering love. He was the cherished father of Michael Bisson and Nicole (Ryan) Roosen, proud Papa to Liam and Olivia who were the joys he was most proud of. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Emma Bisson, and brother Leo Bisson.

Don was born August 20, 1945 in Windsor and raised in Detroit. He attended St Bernard Catholic School and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He went on to have a career as a store manager at Chatham's, Murray Auto Parts and Sterling Heights Dodge before retiring in 2008. A lifelong fan of Michigan football and the Detroit Lions, Don rarely missed a game. He found peace on the water spending countless hours fishing, and was also an avid reader and traveler.

Don will be remembered for his gentle heart, his quick wit, and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. His humor and optimism carried him and those around him through even during the toughest times he endured. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial visitation for Don will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10 am until 2 pm with sharing of memories at 1 pm at Wasik Funeral Home, Gendernalik Chapel at 35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047.
