Joseph J. Bommarito

Bommarito, Joseph "Joe" Age 76, of Berkley passed away on September 1, 2025. Joe was born on August 9, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Peter and Sara Bommarito. He later met and married the love of his life, Janet, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. He was the beloved father of Tony (Rebecca) Bommarito, Bridgette Bommarito, and Tim (Dawn) Bommarito; proud grandfather of Samantha (Gaspare) Vitale, Haley Bommarito, Brandon (Kailey) Bommarito, Joe Deforest, Brooke Bommarito, and Alexis Bommarito; and great-grandfather of Mila Vitale. He was the loving brother of Gina (Mike) Savoie and Angela Curtis, and a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Joe proudly served in the Michigan National Guard. He truly enjoyed his work and valued the friendships he built with his coworkers. A lifelong lover of sports, he both coached and played baseball and softball for many years, and he was an avid fan of Detroit teams. Joe also had a deep love for his dogs. Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W.
